About
I grew up in Lindisfarne and for some years on a property along Acton road. Now Ali and I are raising our own family on the Eastern Shore.
Throughout my career I have worked extensively in health care in Australia and overseas. A podiatrist by training, I have also worked in practice management and health workforce planning.
These skills and insights are useful on council, particularly with all the public health aspects of local government.
Professional qualifications
Masters of Health Administration (UNSW)
Grad Cert Health Services Management (UNSW)
Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry)
Personal interests
For recreation I love canoeing, especially first thing in the morning when the Derwent is a millpond and I really appreciate great coastal walks.
I believe in choice, thrift, reward for effort and that local decisions are best made at the local level. Equality of opportunity is a value I hold dear. All Tasmanians should have the chance to reach their full potential particularly when it comes to health and education.
